EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

This is an expression of interest for potential Procurement Graduate Officer positions within the Government of South Australia.

Procurement is the full range of activities from defining needs and developing specifications to evaluating offers and establishing contracts related to purchasing goods, services and works. All services provided by the Government of South Australia require procurement.

Procurement can range from contracting for an entire service to purchasing small assets such as office equipment. The procurement process does not end at the commissioning or contract award stage, but spans the entire life cycle of the product or service from inception and design through to contract management and disposal of any redundant assets.

Effective procurement supports the Government of South Australia’s aims and objectives, helping the Government to deliver high quality services which meet the current and future needs of local people and are based on value for money.

Procurement has become one of the the fastest growing corporate functions and there is a constant demand for dedicated procurement professionals. A career in procurement offers challenge and variety, excellent long term prospects, and a chance to make a difference.

If you are a dedicated person who can balance attention to detail with a big picture view, then you may have what it takes to become a procurement professional. We recruit graduates from a wide range of disciplines including:

  • Business;
  • Commerce and Economics;
  • Finance and Accounting;
  • Marketing;
  • Law; or
  • Mathematics and Statistics.
