Summary:

The Obesity Prevention and Lifestyle (OPAL) program is a major statewide initiative. It aims to increase children's physical activity and healthy eating through families and communities.

 

The OPAL Project Support Officer is responsible for supporting the local implementation of the OPAL initiative. This includes assisting the OPAL Council Manager in working with a broad range of sectors and stakeholders to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate relevant behaviour change strategies that support the delivery of this initiative.

Special Conditions: The appointee must have a Criminal History Check for Child-related employment from the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) prior to confirmation of appointment. Ideally the applicant will already have a successful screening clearance otherwise should have an application in  process (application form attached). 

 

The incumbent will uphold the values of SA Health as reflected in the Strategic Plan. Some out of hours work and intra and interstate travel may be required. A current motor vehicle driver's licence is essential.

 

The position is located in the City of Salisbury, located in Salisbury.   

This is a temporary part-time position (22.5 hours per week) until 30 June 2017.
